Just going up for the day, juniper (3-4 hours from here) - DH and DSs are going to watch Hearts and I'm going to meet tamum !

tamum · 06/05/2004 22:00

(actually I think staying at the Waverley might be a bit more exciting for you to be honest )

juniper68 · 06/05/2004 22:01

My mate who lives in Edinburgh's DH goes to Hearts games

I bet you;ll have a hoot, have u met b4?

tamum · 06/05/2004 22:14

No, I'm going to have to carry a rolled-up copy of the Times under one arm and a red rose between my teeth or something. If only mumsnet badges were already available.....

Have you got lots of nice things planned juniper?

juniper68 · 06/05/2004 22:43

we're goin to dynamic earth and the zoo and I'm goin to my mate's house too. She went mad when i told her we'd booked a hotel but she's just moving so i didn't want to put her out

juniper68 · 06/05/2004 22:44

that's great that you've made a good mate online. I met up with a net mate recently and we got on so well, i really miss her talkin to her now though

Janh · 06/05/2004 22:46

I'm planning to stand on my head and emit high-pitched noises (OK, tamum?)

juniper, the internet is just wonderful for making RL friends!

juniper68 · 06/05/2004 22:50

tamum's suddenly gone silent and moved house

tamum · 06/05/2004 22:51

Errr, yes, how lovely and...well, original, Janh

We've chatted about Dynamic Earth, haven't we juniper? I'm sure you'll have a lovely time. If the weather's nice the Botanics is a lovely place for kids- squirrels, ponds, glasshouses with fish, all that kind of stuff.

juniper68 · 06/05/2004 22:52

where's botanics? is it in dynamic earth?

tamum · 06/05/2004 22:58

Sorry, it's the Botanical Gardens really, just no-one ever calls it that. It's here . It would take about 10-15 minutes on a bus from Princes St, so quite easy to get to. I don't know if ot's still there but for the last weeks Jenners (the big department store) has had a nice Playmobil exhibition with lots of little scenes, so that would while away a few minutes if it's wet! They've also got a kind of Pick n Mix Lego bar, first time I've ever seen one!

juniper68 · 06/05/2004 23:13

cheers tamum. I'll take a look at that site ty x

juniper68 · 06/05/2004 23:15

that looks lovely. Just my sort of thing
