Travel insurance for the UK *c word warning*

There is an amazing Christmas experience in Keilder that always sells out. I could be on ball with booking tickets and an over night stay (3 hour drive) that would set us back around £200. Im concerned that anow could prevent us from getting there and was wondering if travel insurance could be purchased as a precaution?

you can buy travel insurance for UK trips, very cheap. But you need to read the small print for each policy to see what is covered.

Yes you definitely need to read the small print.

We had UK travel insurance as part of annual TI when we had that very bad winter a few years ago. We were not able to set out due to the terrible snow (plus police/met office and AA warnings not to travel) but the venue was not affected by the snow so didn't close. As the venue didn't close we were not covered and lost the money.

Oh no that's rubbish.

I think I'll give a few places a call this week to find out where I would stand.
