they have a Santa's grotto for a few weekends at Willows Farm in London Colney - any good to you?

I don't think the Santaland is on this year was it the one that was at Earls Court? If it was it got terrible reviews. Very expensive and a big rip off apparently.

Would you be able to do a trip to London to see the lights and maybe pop to Harrods to see Santa. This is supposed to be very good.

I dont think Santaland is on this year but if it is, dont go......

We went last year with a 2 and 3 year old, had a terrible time, had to queue to do everything, even though we had a timed ticket, big disaster with our two.

Willows Farm is good generally any time so would imagine christmas would be nice, Gullivers World do christmas specials but that may be a bit far, its in Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes shopping centre normally have a lovely christmas display with a old carousel which you can ride on, our two love that.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. I feel a trip to Harrods and to see the lights is probably what we will do so thanks to Chunkymunkey for that suggestion. Sounds like I had a lucky escape from Santaland - shame because all the press last year looked good - it just goes to show. Thanks again.

Kew Gardens is also beautiful at Xmas time. I think for a few nights they let you in after dark (so say from 4pm) and they light up the trees and sing carols - it really is beautiful.

They also have days with a little fun fair and an ice rink - and it's great because there's lots of space for children to run around.
