I thought I'd start a new thread as number 2 is nearly full.

thread 2

We haven't got ours booked yet. But we are planning on going August 2016. DH and I both turn 30 in the next 11 months so it's like a big birthday holiday.

Oh, Chesty!! :( Any chance it might be over with by the time you go? I'm not sure how long it lasts... any chance of some antibiotics?

ChestyNut · 19/09/2015 19:55

I've been taking antibiotics since thursday. Slowly improving.
Got to drop ChestyDog at the dog sitters tommorow Sad

ChestyNut · 21/09/2015 05:02

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 22/09/2015 08:00

Have an amazing time, Chesty!! Hope you're feeling better soon.

17 days for me Grin

ChestyNut · 24/09/2015 01:20

It's amazing Grin

But so hot! Been to discovery cove today and kissed A dolphin.
Epcot tommorow to attempt the Kitchen Sink!

Did I mention how hot it is?

LucasNorthsTwiglets · 24/09/2015 10:27

Oooh, report back on the Kitchen Sink! We're booked in to have that one afternoon.

ChestyNut · 25/09/2015 02:28

Well after seeing someone else's kitchen sink we Gave it a miss. They're HUGE!!
I had banana loaf and peanut butter with ice cream and cream, easily enough for two!
Nearly $100 for 3 adults main and dessert Shock

It's hotter than Hades today, it rained torrentially for an hour but it's still hot hot hot!

MultipackCokeCan · 30/09/2015 19:50

I am here too! I posted on this thread under another name a while back (vito corleone)

It is HOT! Its about 32 degrees at the minute, very humid. Yesterday it was hot but poured it down most of the day.

Just back at our resort relaxing, have spent today and yesterday in the magic kingdom, going back later for parade and fireworks!

DisnaeMatter · 07/10/2015 23:57

I haven't read the thread yet, marking place!
I have done a last-minute cruise booking for mid-November, now to sort out the rest of the holiday - I have less than a month to plan! Help!

ChestyNut · 08/10/2015 12:13

Well I'm home Sad

Had the most amazing time!

Loved night stay at RPR and early access, express ticket and easy access to parks. The pool was disappointing, no deep end.

Driving made a huge difference, would never do buses from off site again.

Had a few rainy afternoons and torrential rain all night during MNSSHP Sad
Put a downer on the night.

Think we'll try November in 2017 as it was soooo hot in September.

Lucas have you gone?

DisnaeMatter · 09/10/2015 18:53

Welcome home, Chesty, hope you are settling back ok!

Where can I get the best price for a seven-day ticket for the Disney parks please?

ChestyNut · 09/10/2015 22:56

We looked on the Dibb website and used Orlando Attractions I think.

DisnaeMatter · 09/10/2015 23:33

Thanks. I'm on the Dibb but feeling rather overwhelmed!

ChestyNut · 11/10/2015 18:58

Have You decided yet Disnae?

Hulababy · 11/10/2015 19:10

Tickets for February booked today :) ll excited again today!

We ended up with 4 days no hopper tickets, booked with Disney direct, and Universal tickets (2 park hopper, only needed 3 days but tickets cover us for 14!) via Floridatix.com

We are staying at Hard Rock hotel this time so have express tickets, though doubt we really need it at that time of year. DD is excited at early entry to Harry Potter.

Disney ADR are booked for our 4 days there; fast pass will be done in January.

4 months to go!

Cyrrently trying to decide between Cirque Soleil and Blue Man Group too.

lisaom · 12/10/2015 15:39

Hi - Sorry, just jumping on this thread and hoping for some well needed advice. We are going to Florida for first time over Christmas this year. I only want park tickets for about 5 days (Disney and Universal inclusive) but everything seems to be for minimum of 7 days - just wondered if anyone knew of a way of reducing park ticket costs..? Also - does anyone know how you book for any of the Christmas activities, is this on fastpass??Thanks!

Hulababy · 12/10/2015 17:42

We booked direct with the US Disneyworld site to get 4 days pass. As we know we won't hop hose days we saved money by not having the hopper option. You do have to pay for postage though, so take that into account.

4 days non hopper ticket is $324 including tax. This is about £211 per person.

In the past we have also used www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/#tickets

They currently have deals on tickets with a free extra day.

Hulababy · 12/10/2015 17:44

You can pay on the door if only getting one day tickets but it would work out dearer per day.

We are going for a week in Feb and ended up with 4 days non hopper Disney tickets, bough direct from the US site, and then a 2 park hopper Universal ticket (though this does allow up to 14 days entry; we wanted 3 days worth of tickets and they needed to be hopper tickets to allow us to use Hogwarts Express) from Floridatix.com which is an official seller.

DisnaeMatter · 12/10/2015 20:08

I haven't yet worked out what to do re tickets. Would really value some advice.
We have seven full days before we go on a short cruise. I was thinking we'd do the seven-day ticket (here, £275 for adults, £255 for our son, and do:
Magic Kingdom three times
Hollywood Studios Twice
Typhoon Lagoon Twice.
(Will not do Animal Kingdom or SeaWorld.)
I can park hop with this deal, yes?

When we dock we have five full days so I was thinking one day each at:
Universal Studios
Islands of Adventure
Legoland
Legoland Waterpark
Wet'n'Wild

Can anyone tell me what the best way to get tix is for these plans please?

Also, am I crazy to plan to take a baby of six months old to waterparks? I figured we'd float round the lazy rivers a lot.

DisnaeMatter · 14/10/2015 16:35

Sorted hotel for Disney leg, and tickets. Staying at Art of Animation, looks perfect, and I can't wait! Well I can, cos I still have accommodation to sort for the days we are going to Universal, Wet'n'Wild and Legoland.

Haven't told the 5yo yet! Not sure whether to tell him soon and get him excited, or just wake him on the day and tell him he's got a plane to catch. :)

Hulababy · 14/10/2015 16:43

Disney tickets arrived today - 4 months to go!

DisnaeMatter · 14/10/2015 21:57

Do we need a full day at Legoland or can we comfortably do it and the waterpark in one day? Son is 5.

DisnaeMatter · 14/10/2015 21:59

Scrap that - Legoland waterpark is shut in November!

TouchTheFrog · 18/10/2015 22:24

Hi everyone, I'm looking for your wisdom and advice Star

We're very close to booking two weeks from around 10th July. Looking at the Disney website it seems the best option price wise is the Caribbean resort and we would get the free dining plan which we can upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan. Thinking of booking via Quidco for 4% cash back and using my Tesco clubcard to take advantage of accruing points

Before we take the plunge just wondered if anyone had any advice/comments? I think the dining plan offer expires on Tuesday so we need to decide quick.

Seabiscotti · 27/10/2015 00:28

I am thinking of taking DS in a few years. I will follow this and the dibs forum too.
I will be aiming for a two week stay and outside Disney parks, I would like to do universal studios and ioa.

Discovery Cove seems to be popular but after looking on their website, I can't say I am excited by it.
