Centerparcs, France, tell me good or useful things

Hello.

Just booked a week at the new Centerparcs in France in August. I have never been to any Centerparcs and DH went for the day 30 years ago, so we don't know much (except that due to exchange rate it is a relative bargain this year). We have had really good family holidays at Eurocamp in the past (3 kids, aged 6-8), so think it's the sort of thing we'll like. Any useful tips/advice/suggestions of how much money we'll need to spend on onsite activites?
Thank you.

I didn't realise they had opened one in France but we live 20 min away from one in the uk and go for a mini break every year. We love it. It's fab for the kids and everything is in one place.

One of the things we like is the fact that once you're in you could be anywhere, so I don't know if the french one will actually feel like a holiday to France IYSWIM. It will depend how they've done it I suppose. But the weather might be more reliable which would be a bonus.

Either way I think they are great holidays, enjoy OP!

Somehow I missed out my middle paragraph!

Food and drink on site are v expensive so we always take the majority with us. A trip to the supermarchè would be a good idea at least to get basics. All the basic activities like the pool are included but the extra things such as archery etc are quite expensive. At the uk ones you can book these on line before you go so they are already accounted for.

We love them and don't find them expensive, but we don't eat out and only do one paid activity every couple of days - use the toppings! My son loves the pool and the water playhouse so we generally spend most of the time in there - 4 hours a day Grin. We then make a picnic, hop on the bikes and head off on the Voie Verte for a couple of hours. After this we go home and sleep!

Enjoy the new park, it looks good although is too far for us to travel from Calais.
