Talk to me about dental cover and travel insurance (sorry it's very dull)

Hi
I'm off to the States with family for summer hols and am shopping around for travel insurance.
I've been focusing on getting suitable cover for me with MS and so far the companies I've rung have been helpful etc. However, I've noticed that the cover for dental fees is quite low.
I'm planning to haul us all of off to the dentist here in good time to get checked out.
However, I have this vision of me or dh having some kind of expensive dental drama in the US which will not really be covered by travel insurance. Any tips?

How likely is an expensive dental drama? I mean the only real dental emergencies are "punched in the face and teeth fall out" or developing some major abscess/infection. A bit of tooth ache etc can be managed with pain killers til you get home

And really what is the likely cost of having something minor dealt with? Probably not that much more than the premium you'd be paying.

Take one of these and play the odds:

As regards medical insurance generally, be very clear about what you want covered - do you want to be flown home for medical treatment or just cover there? do you want something that will cover your transport home from the airport if (eg. you can't walk/drive)
