Hi! I'm looking for some travel advice, we're hoping to go to the IWM in London next weekend. The direct train from where we are takes us to King's Cross - just wondering what the quickest/easiest route to get from there to IWM would be?
I don't know London well at all and it's stressing me out much more than it should Confused

this is slightly off your post, but I visited the IWM recently with a baby in a buggy. There is an accessible entrance round the side of the building, but it is not sign posted. We carried the buggy up the front stairs as we couldn't see the accessible entrance, and when I asked about the lack of signage I was told it was decided not to clutter the front of the building up with 'unnecessary signs'.

We went to see the Ration Fashion exhibition which was very interesting and well done. However, despite signs we couldn't find the baby change on the same floor. One of the staff told us that it was closed at the moment, when I asked why the directions to it were still in place I was told again about the 'unnecessary signs' policy.

I did not feel the IWM was very family friendly, especially if you have a baby in a buggy.

I've always found the transport for London site useful for planning to get around London. It suggests Victoria line to Oxford Circus and then Bakerloo line to Lambeth North and walk from there. It also does maps for any walking directions. Website is tfl.gov.uk. (Sorry I can't remember how to do links on my phone!)

Tube to Lambeth North. Not sure about lines but its a 10 minute walk from there.

Thank you everyone Smile

That is a real shame that it doesn't seem very family friendly, luckily DS is 3 so won't be in a buggy or need baby changing, but I'll definitely have a look to see if anything has improved on those fronts.
