How much spending money do you reckon we'll need for 2 weeks in Florida?

There will be 4 of us, me, DH DS1 (6) and DS2 (3)

14 days in a villa so obviously will need food. Tickets already bought so I'm just thinking about actual spends

Does £2000 in pounds sound ok (not sure what that will be in dollars) or would you say more?

That's like asking how long is a piece of string. 2000 just for food seems like an awful lot to me. Is your spending money only for food? We took $2000 and bought park tickets and souvenirs as well as food with it (just 2 of us mind you). I did put some expenses on the credit card as well mind you, but I bought quite a lot of clothes for ds (t-shirts, swimming towels and shoes).

Ds and I were happy to graze and take a few snacks and drinks with us when we went anywhere. You have to balance lugging it round of finsing a locker you have to keep returning too against paying a premium in the parks. We ate in the fast food places in the parks, rather than the fancy restaurants and ate outside the parks at places like Dennys for main meals.

If you're intending to eat in all the time, and take packed lunches everywhere, then it shouldn't cost you very much more than it would at home to feed you all in reality.

If you're likely to eat out a lot, and happy to pay a premium to eat in the theme parks etc you can spend a heck of a lot more.

We did splash out on the rainforest cafe (not worth it IMO) one time. That was the only moderately expensive place we ate.

We usually take £2.5k for 4 of us. All park tickets paid for before we go so that's food, petrol, parking and shopping. It's always plenty although both kids have their own spending money and we aren't big shoppers.

We do £100 a day to include meals, petrol, drinks and miscellaneous treats. If we do a big meal out one day the next day we do tuna baked potatoes and salad at villa for $10 to get back on track. We take a further £500 for trainers, jeans, hoodies etc so all in all we bring £2k.
