Help needed please

Looking at going to Alton towers over a weekend and tickets seem very pricey

There are two adults and 2 children and cheapest 2 day pass is £140

Any hints and tips gratefully received

Thanks

I've never paid full price to get in and I doubt you will have to, there are so many promotional offers available.

There are a few suggestions on MSE for starters.

If you're planning to stay in a B&B, you could choose one near either Stoke on Trent rail or Hanley bus station where there are dedicated buses direct to the park.

If there's a popular big ride that you must go on, arrive as the park opens and go straight to it, the queues later will remind you what a good idea that was and it will certainly wake you up! Grin

Take a packed lunch or snacks with you, and a lightweight waterproof jacket. There are lockers at the entrance so you don't have to lug it round all day.

If you're taking an under 4, rent one of their 'buggies', the park is vast and they will get tired.

By the time I've typed this on this poxy keyboard, someone else will probably have said the same things!

You can exchange Tesco club card points - £12.50 voucher for a ticket.

Every year the Sun newspaper does a promotion, you have to save tokens and send off for 2 free tickets.

Quite often these then appear on ebay at reduced prices as people can't make the allocated date.
