and DH?

Is it possible do you think?

DH has unexpectedly managed to get two days off in a row and to escape for an adventure we would love to nip away for a night.

does anybody have any suggestions as to where we might be able to go?

We are in the NW of england.

Thanks :)

Is it too late now?

ChristianGreyIsAJackass · 01/04/2015 21:31

No, not too late, it's for next week, I have been looking at loads but i am really struggling!
The fact we have three children is often a problem for hotels but the dog throws in another element!

I am willing to accept i may be asking too much! Grin

I've always fancied staying at the Old Nags Head in Castleton, Derbyshire. They take dogs and kids and there's loads to do in Castleton. If you do go, let me know what it's like. Smile

I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help as we have never stayed in a hotel as a family. Do love Castleton though Smile

When I was looking for a hotel room to stay in with the dog, I found there were some 'dog friendly' hotel listing websites.

This was in Oxfordshire though, so not much help to you!

I think I would just email the dog friendly people with cottages on sc websites. I love Derbyshire too...we have stayed in the stunning hamlet of Milldale which is a walk along the river from dovedale- squeezed family of 5 into gorgeous 1 bed cottage. If it rains you can visit chatsworth, go in yhe caves in a boat, coffee in Ashbourne, rides at gullivers Kingdom or trams at crich.

Travelodge don't do rooms for 2 adults and three children.
Well, they didn't back in october when looking for a stopover on the way to europe.

I will have a look for that CMOT

I have had a look at that hotel Monster it looks lovely, i might have to ring though as it doesn't appear that they have family/interconnecting rooms.

How about Northumberland? We have stayed at the Hogs head inn Alnwick with 3 children. Lovely large family rooms and also dog friendly.
Ideal as a base for exploring the local area.

Ooh Shezie that looks lovely, it's quite a way from us but I will show it to DH Thanks
