Puy du fou- how many days?

We're heading to here after camping further south and have 3 days of accommodation booked nearby. Thinking about getting either 2 day or 3 day tickets (5 euros extra for 3rd day, and would have until about 2pm in park before leaving for ferry). What have you done/would recommend? DC are 11, 8, 5.

We've been a couple of times and have always just done it as a one day trip. As long as you're organised, get there before it opens (so you can get parked and get in in time for the first show) and don't dawdle too much, you can see all the main shows. We haven't ever stayed for the night time show though, so of you're planning around that you might want to take it easy and do two days. I wouldn't think you'd need three days.

2 days max. One to do the main attractions, 2nd for whatever you missed out and evening show. Dd then 7 was scared of some of the waxwork exhibits in the dark.

we did it in one day, but didn't go to the evening session. my friend said the evening session is amazing but it was too late and we were too tierd. so i'd get one day ticket and one a ticket for evening session and do it on separate days

We have always done 2 and last time went to the evening show which is really worth it. Some of the shows you can watch several Tines

I'd say 2

We filled 2 days, but did see 2 shows twice. I think trying to get it all into one day would require military timekeeping and a fair bit of running between shows!

1.5 days was fine with a bit of planning. One day wouldn't allow even for an unscheduled loo stop.
The queue-jumping pass was essential for getting round everything in a limited timespan, but cheaper than an extra day and hotel night.

We did just the day trip wish we had stayed for the evening show as well, next time will do both, 2 days willl be plenty of time to see everything you want to and then get to see your favourites again.

The evening show is amazing! I'd definitely stay for that. Also means as you can relax and really enjoy your stay. I don't know if it's changed but the jousting, falconry and the parade in the amphitheatre were all v good. The son et lumiere is like nothing you've ever seen!

We did one day but would recommend two - we had the dash round to make sure we saw all the main shows and it would have been nice to chill and see a lot of the little things too.

It is fabulous though - I thought it would be terrible but it was great!
