Chester Zoo!

Knowsley Safari park is great, Thomasland in the midlands is fab, north lakes animal park in Cumbria, there's a new indoor trampoline place in manchester which could be good if it's not too busy, not sure if they have an area for smaller children. Picnic on the beach somewhere? Enjoy your day out!

Grin Another vote for Chester Zoo!

GettingFiggyWithIt · 22/03/2015 01:39

Unless because you are local to it you have done it a million times already then my vote would be Stockley Farm in Arley, Northwich. Mine never got bored of it...tractor ride from the carpark, feeding the lambs, seeing the animals, little nature walk, ice cream in the cafe.

Cheshire Farm Ice Cream Smile

GettingFiggyWithIt · 22/03/2015 01:39

Blue planet aquarium, ellesmere port also good.

GettingFiggyWithIt · 22/03/2015 01:46

The paint a pot centre in Tameside used to be awesome too. Paint a pot, make a necklace, nice lunch in cafe. Only problem would be you would have to return the following week to collect. 0161 406 6993 it is a small studio but mine used to love it

Knowsley Safari Park, Chester Zoo, Gulliver's World Warrington, Blue Planet Aquarium Cheshire Oaks, Splashword Southport, Chill Factor by the Trafford Centre?

BikeRunSki · 22/03/2015 01:49

Lego Discovery Centre at Trafford Centre. I thought it was rubbish, but DS (5th birthday) and his friend (4.8) thought it was awesome.

GettingFiggyWithIt · 22/03/2015 01:50

Blimey. I nearly forgot Monkey forest.
This is if you do not mind driving to Stoke, but you said Staffs. So Trentham would be okay for you. Google them...it is basically free range macaques, they are awesome. Plus there is a nice cafe Wink I'm all about the cafes.

GettingFiggyWithIt · 22/03/2015 01:52

Gah, I want to come back to the UK now.Envy

suddenlycupishalffull · 22/03/2015 19:53

Yes I'm thinking about Trentham, we've only ever been round the shopping bit but I think there's much more to it than that. We live 2 mins from the icecream farm, so that's a weekly trip out for us ;) Arley sounds good, I'll look at how far that is.

Another vote for Chester Zoo! Also stockley farm. Or, depending on weather - how about heading to Llandudno. The season will just be getting going as we get to Easter with the rides on the pier, tram up the Orme, punch and just on the prom. We often escape there for a family day out - finished off with fish and chips for tea Grin

iloveaglassofwine · 22/03/2015 20:00

Bloody autocorrect! Punch & Judy, obvs.

SauvignonBlanche · 22/03/2015 20:04

Chester Zoo is the obvious one but have you been to the Shire horse farm here? It's very close to you and it's great.

iloveaglassofwine · 22/03/2015 20:05

Or Liverpool, there's loads to do! Museum of Liverpool has a great Children's bit with hands on stuff, ideal for a 4 year old, ferry on the Mersey, Underwater Street which is a Children's place where they can paint a car, dress up, do crafts, climb a wall, build and more. Went for the first time recently with my 3 & 6 year olds and thought it was fab.

GettingFiggyWithIt · 22/03/2015 21:19

I have only ever been to Trentham for the monkey forest....but at eight quid a head, and having the monkeys In the open air right next to you, it is very cool. I did do Salem near lake constance, those monkeys eat popcorn, even cooler. I know in Stoke, you can book a one to one feeding the monkeys experience but at 150 quid for one parent and child, you could just visit monkey forest ten times instead Wink or swim with sharks at ellesmere.
Enjoy whatever you decide.
