Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has some advice on the following;

  1. Can you buy ready made aptamil in Australia?
  2. Can you buy disposable sterile bottles in Australia ? Was the only thing I found that could enable me to top up while on the plane. But didn't want to buy both flight supplies up front if I could help it.
  3. When is the best time on take-off / landing to start feeding the little one? And what if he doesn't want to feed at that time. He can be really stubborn and I'm worried he won't wake up and feed and I'll damage his little ears.

Thankyou

To your last point. Don't worry about the ears. The pressure will just make them cry. It won't cause dage. I wait till the flight attendants are buckled up before I feed. They can be a pain about flight safety. Ie if the baby isn't in a good position when they check

But I doubt the belt is actually safe given how easy it slipped off. If they really care they would make babies buy a seat and use a 5 point harness.

As far as I'm aware, there's no ready made Aptamil in Australia. You can get the powdered stuff, but whether it's the same as the UK I don't know. The only formula I've ever seen ready made was Nan, and that was in the hospital. Never seen ready made in the supermarket or chemist (and I'm in a major city). The thing closest to convienient I've ever seen was individual packets of S26 formula, but they're like gold dust.

Never seen pre-sterilised bottles here either, except in hospital.

I tried to feed when the plane was taxi-ing. Sometimes DD fed and sometimes not. She didn't seem too bothered by the whole thing.

I was amazed at the range in a Tesco when we last visited the UK!

I've never seen either of those here.

I've just heard you can order ready made Nan HA1 Gold formula from a couple of pharmacies around Melbourne. Perhaps other cities are the same.
