Eurodisney with 11yo twins - accommodation tips?

We are thinking of eurodisney with two 11 yo boys for a few days in July after a hol elsewhere in France. What do people recommend accommodation wise? We would find it tricky to cope with a room with two double beds - I can see that davy crocket place has two bedroom lodges. Any other top tips off site but nearby? And how awful is the food?

i believe that the only onsite hotel without 2 double beds is the cheyanne. im not sure about the associated hotels just off site. i found the TripAdvisor forum brilliant when we were planning our trip x

I second the Trip Advisor forum - lots of up to date advice, and is fairly lively.

Off site - I've stayed in the Dream Castle, which had one double and a set of bunk beds. It's in a group of hotels which are still served by a free shuttle bus to the parc, but are slightly cheaper (Kyriad, Explorers, Magic Circus are the others). Disney hotels do get you the extra magic hours, though, which can be important, depending on what the boys want to see and do.

Food in the parcs is pretty ghastly and overpriced. There are more options in Disney Village, or use the filled roll place in the station. One stop away by train is the Val d'Europe shopping centre, which has a good food court.

We stayed at Davy Crocket. I think second bedroom had bunk beds? It is very, very basic- bed and sofa both felt about to collapse, curtains dreadful etc. However, it worked really well for us, because its self catering - you get a pack up each morning if you're on half board, which is loads - you get bread, ham, cheese, milk, coffee, hot chocolate. We took cereal for breakfast, made the breakfast into packed lunch, which worked well.

Pool is also quite good there. Food generally not as awful as expected, tis amazingly expensive though - we went half board, which was a god send. Families were paying 100 euros + for a very mediocre buffet.
