Hey, just wondering if anyone had an advice about which island and anywhere you'd recommend. First holiday abroad with 4 year old twins. Oh forgot to mention the mother and father in law as well.... ??

Thank you for reading xxx

OnIlkley Grin I went to La Palma, another island in the Canaries. Definitely didn't go to Lanzarote, didn't say I had been there either!

Hmm I'm guessing that's precisely why fil was keen for us to go there then (I'm with you - it sounds sh**e! (sorry La Palma lovers).

Sorry koala, I've read back and can't see for the life if me why I thought it was lanzarote you hated.

Must read posts properly before ranting off on one Grin.

La Palma does sound a bit limited for a weeks holiday.

Grin that's fine OnIlkley.

We were there for two weeks TWO miserable long fucking weeks

I love Lanzarote (been 3 times to Puerto del Carmen but the nice old bit) and hated Tenerife. Remember that film, Cocoon? That was what Tenerife was like Grin

Another vote here for lanzarote. We went in 2013 when I was pregnant with dd. Stayed in a gorgeous villa in Peurto Calero which is a lovely small place with a very posh marina, just next to Peurto del Carmen. We hired a car and petrol was incredibly cheap! Also the roads aren't busy at all so it was very easy to drive around the island. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
