Paris - Gare de Lyon to Eiffel Tower area via public transport

Slight complication - the above journey with 2 kids using wheelchairs!

We're going camping just outside Paris this summer and I'm just organising some trips. I've already sorted out a trip to the Louvre, we can use the wheelchair accessible route 14 of the Metro for that so it's fine.

But I'm trying to organise another day to go to the Eiffel Tower side of the city and to some stuff there. I really do not want to drive in the city at all and the local station goes into Gare de Lyon.

Any suggestions how to get to that side of the city? I don't mind using ramps but can't phone to book as my grasp of French is a little too basic.

Would be really grateful to anyone in the know!

This is the public transport website for Paris. The journey planner is pretty good, although i can't work out how to make it wheelchair accessible. Having said that, from my pushchair days, I have a vague memory that the rer has lifts (although we only ever travel from major station to major station, so I don't know about the others.)

You could try posting in 'living overseas' as there are plent of mners who live in Paris I believe.

Take the Batobus?

Bonsoir I checked the bayous website and it said the only wheelchair accessible stop is at the Eiffel Tower, so not sure where I can get on?

Have you seen this map?

Looks like you can get an accessible RER from GdL to Etoile - is it too far to walk from there to Champ de Mars? The 63 bus also looks like an option - possibly a better one - as it stops quite nearby, but I don't know enough about Paris buses to know if they can take 2 wheelchairs at once.

Ah, that's a pity. I'd seen wheelchair users on the Batobus before but didn't know anything about the logistics.

Batobus (just the "cruise") is a great way of seeing the major sites for people who don't, for whatever reason, go in for a lot of walking.

Guides and maps are fabulous, far better than I got by googling myself. The link suggests line 14 to Madeline then a bus, which if we can get the wheelchairs on will be fine. They're paediatric so not too huge.
