bit late as the best deals are usually a year in advance. we use skyscanner and ebookers. go on there and look at going via different European capitals as you may find it a lot cheaper. also every few days of looking disable your cookies or you will be tracked and the prices will change.

I'm going to Australia in Easter. I booked just before Christmas. I tried ebookers but they are totally hopeless with long haul. Or maybe I just have too many restrictions. I needed flights to match DH one from work. They couldn't do it and suggested I get etihad instead. I ended getting it via bridge the world. They are STA on the high street. I also contacted flight center but they are hopeless at following up.

Book direct with the airline. Think about only one stop, where that stop is and how long. Cheapest is not always best because there might be a huge wait at the stop over. Singapore (stops in Singapore) and Emirates (stops in Dubai) are pretty good. BA will possibly cost more. Look for legroom too if you are booking economy. All the booking sites do is list the flights but there are so many it becomes difficult to navigate and is difficult to compare prices with total length of journey. You might be prepared to pay £30 more for better flight times for example.

We've always found Trailfinders to be excellent and they have always had the best prices for long haul.
