Book all activites well before you leave, espicially beauty treatments and childrens activites to avoid dispaointment(mind you last time we went in summer holiday so weekend break off-peak may be a little less busy).
Take some basic food stuffs with you. The supermarket on site is fairly comprehensive and not really any more expensive than other supermarkets) but it's nice not to be spending a lot of time shopping on first day because the pool etc tend to be less busy on changeover days so better to make the best use of your time in there!
If you dont want to risk your car bypass the monkeys at Longleat, lots of cars come out minus trim, windscreen washers (in the past we've avoided the monkeys but last time we went through, car was fine but DDs -2 and 3- screamed and cried uncontrollabley as soon as monkies jumped on car!!) Having said that, if your kids are more brave than ours then be aware that I dont think you can go in if you have a roof rack/box or bikes attached to car.

you will have a brilliant time! we just got back from there and DS (aged 2 yrs) LOVED it! We couldn't drag him from the pool without kicking and screaming Take some basics, like breakfast cereals, squash, snacks, etc. As the others have said the shop on site is very good although may be a distance away from your cabin depending on where you are staying, so you won't want to have to do a full shop! Don't worry about what you look like in your bathing costume, most folk will be just like yourself, and not interested in anything other than enjoying themselves and the time with their LO's. Take LOADS of spare clothes, especially if you are cycling etc, as you will prob get quite hot and sweaty and want to change in the evenings, etc. Book any activities in advance as it does get really booked up if there are things you definitely want to do as extra, although we only booked 2 activities in a week, and still had a great time! Enjoy yourself!

Depending on if you plan to do any cooking you might want to take things like alive oil, tin foil, saltand pepper, decent knife and board, herbs,

hand soap, tea towels, PJ's (I always forget mine), pampers care mats to put under sheets on kids beds in case of accidents, or waterproof sheet.

that would be olive oil, but alive oil sounds interesting .

It may be a bit too cold, but bring along disposable bbqs if you are planning on having one as they are very expensive in the shop. Have a great time.

Order welcome pack of food.

Take picnic into longleat as the food there is such a rip off!
