Day out in London with 5mth old DD - Where to go/what to see?

Hello!

I'm heading over to UK from Ireland on Monday with DP and DD to visit his sister. She lives in Sidcup but we were hoping to get into the city for a day trip, maybe two. Last time we visited was B-DD (before dd!) and we did the Tate modern, all up along the South Bank(?) and most of Oxford St area, going into the big shops.

This time however I am too big to fit into clothes so won't really be doing much clothes shopping but would still like to see some sights etc.

I'm soooo not into doing the bus tour (again). Did it with my aunt a couple of years ago and decided it was time to go home when we realised we were on our second go around.

DP is well into architecture, but I'm not too into galleries at the moment, slightly overdosed in college and when pg.

Is there anything left for us to do? Anywhere to go?!?

We'll probably be going to Bluewater for a day too, DP's niece is 14 and loves it there and loves me cos I'm young(ish) so she'll want to do the shops.

Also, places to eat? We always just end up going into the first place we come accross but that might not be so practical with babs in a buggy?

Any help would be great!

how about the V and A? not a gallery as such nor a museum - bit of a cross between the two imo. stuffed full with beautiful things. British Museum is good too. St Paul's is worth a look (apparently) - as is the Tower.

how about the London Aquarium and the London Eye.

both brilliant and located quite close to each other.

there's a number of places to eat just up from the Eye at Gabriel's Wharf including Gourmet Pizza or there's Pizza Express behind the National Theatre. Can you tell I like pizza LOL.

Otherwise, what about a boat trip instead of the bus? Again it's South Bank but you could go all the way up to Greenwich where there's some nice lunch places and then tube it back.
