Hi-Liner or the RallySport?

I will be in the UK over Christmas and need to buy a booster (rather than hiring a crap one with the rental car, and leaving it with my parents for future trips)

Son will be four and a half, 18 kgs and about average height.

I see that the Britax Hi-Liner gets the best reviews for cheap boosters but I see little info on the Graco RallySport. How similar is it to the Graco Junior that gets the bad press?
I'd opt for the HiLiner without much thought but the Graco backrest comes off, and i'd want that for when we travel by plane within Europe during the trip. (How heavy/bulky/awkward would the Britax be to take on a plane?)

Didn't want to spend more than 40-50 pounds.
Not sure what to do, advise greatly appreciated.

Cheers

personally id go for the highliner... as its proven to be a very safe seat...
also although the back doesnt come off it doesnt need to so it offers full protection right until the child is 11 / 12 years old!

i have got the graco junior one and i think it is gd it has gd ratings from mother and baby magazine and somthing else
very easy to use n very light well worth £35

but the mother and baby magazine rate in on colour, price etc.... not how poorly it performed in independant crash tests, when the crash test dummies were seriously injured! (So badly that they even made of sections of seats to NOT USE cause they were SO bad as had performed SO badly in the crash tests, that the children wernt safe enough sitting in them!)

Disappointed that some of the polystyrene has snapped on the head rest on my Hi liner .Not sure how durable it would be if you are carting it around a lot.

Thanks for the feedback from everyone.

How tough would it be to transport the Hi-Liner seat on a short plane trip? Is it very heavy and can it be stowed at the gate?
The beauty of the Rallysport is that it comes apart for easier moving (and even the option of leaving the back behind)

Still trying to find any test analysis of the RallySport. I have tried contacting Graco but no response yet.
