Gatwick airport lounges

Morning all.

We are flying from gatwick on Sunday with our children ages 1,10. And 12.
We are thinking of booking a lounge to add to the experience, and hopefully make things easier with the kids, but don't know which one to book that would best suit our toddler.
The servisair lingfield lounge or the No.1
Does anyone have any experience with little ones in either?
TIA

I always use the lounges. I prefer the quietness and it's far more relaxing than the airport itself. There is a time limit and I think some are child free and others have a children's area.

The No. 1 lounge has more child friendly facilities than the servisair one. Depending on which terminal you're in there is either a playroom or a cinema type room playing 10-12 yo friendly films. There are also more separate spaces so people can sit away from your children if they want a child-free experience whereas the servisair lounge is more open plan. The food is a bit nicer in No.1 as well!

It could cost you a fair bit, how long are you planning to be spending in there?. If you do decide to use either I would book this in advance.

The No 1 charges £25 per adult and £15 per child (between the ages of 2 and 11). Also they charge extra if you pay on arrival (£5 extra per adult and £2.50 per child)!!.

Servisair lounge charges:-
Adult (12+) prices start from £18.99
Child (2-11) prices start from £14.99

is it worth it? Generally I find at Gatwick that by the time you've checked in it is time to head for the departure gate. This is because however early you arrive, the number of check in desks open is adjusted to ensure that the queue always takes the same time...

No1 have a new lounge at LGW now - opened last July its slightly cheaper. Its in the North terminal My lounge ....Often we have a long connection and we always use them it works out cheaper than a meal for 4 and other crap that is on sale for you to buy / be conned into.

We killed 4 hours at Gatwick in the summer on a long connection. We had lunch then there is a wee soft play type bit with cbeebies showing for the little one, plus seats nearby that the old ones can play tablets at (with plugs around too if that's a concern). It's not great, but I wouldn't pay into a lounge to have to sit and shush the kids constantly (regardless of what they have, no-one else in the lounge wants to even hear them whisper!).

The number one lounge is very good, much more relaxing with kids than sitting in the airport. My kids played in the kids playroom there, relaxed in the velvety rest area, watched the planes out the window, swung on the lovely basket chairs, we had breakfast they have wi if and lots of room for kids. We could get their toys etc out and it was good. I have spent several hours in gat wick with kids and I much prefer the lounge. You can relax without worrying about watching the kids every second and it is much quieter. Nobody shushed the children! There is also a spa there, showers, games room, bar.

No.1 lounge is nice and we've used it a fair but as DH gets free membership. It all feels rather civilised. People can be a bit funny if you're with DC's I've found, especially little ones. There's a Nandos we also kill time in, depends on when you're there.

We have used both and prefer the Servisair one, but No 1 might be better with kids.
