Skribble, have you visited Whitby in north yorks? Well worth a visit if you're going to that area and not too far a drive from Raby.

Thanks for suggesting Whitby, we plan a day to beamish, perhaps Alnwick castle and rest of the time relaxing, walking and eating. I normally fill everyday with places to visit, but decided I will try to relax more rather than trying to orgainse everyone . Whitby might get added, what is there to do there?

Whitby is a fishing village famous for Bram stoker basing Dracula on there. Apparently Dracula is buried there...ooooooooo It's just so beautiful. May have been where Captain cook set voyage too?

Skribble · 01/10/2006 22:14

Don't know if kids would be impressed with dracula references unless everyone was walking about with capes and big teeth .

they have 2 goth weekends a year so you'd see plenty of people in dark dress then Goths also tend to go halloween weekend.

There is a dracula experience.
