Disneyland Paris

We are going to Disneyland Paris in December for the Christmas celebrations. We have an autistic child who is only 3. He has never travelled before. I've heard it is best to reserve restaurant meals in advance before we travel. I was just wondering if anyone can give me advice on doing this as queuing for a meal for a long time would stress my son out so I want to be prepared. Also as he is getting older he is becoming very fussy with food so need to pick restaurants which would serve something he would eat.

Hi,

This website www.dlpguide.com/planning/practicalities/ has all the menus on, so you should be able to get an idea of what's what and all the different options. There are lots of buffet restaurants, both in the parks and in the hotels. We ate in buffet restaurants each evening when we were there, just because our youngest child was 1 and not a big fan of queueing or waiting for food either!

Trip Advisor has a fantastic discussion forum dedicated to Disneyland Paris www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowForum-g2079053-i21935-Disneyland_Paris_Seine_et_Marne_Ile_de_France.html The regular posters on there are so helpful, and there is a 'sticky' thread at the top entitled 'Visiting DLP with a person with special needs' which was started by a lady with a DD who is autistic.

Booking restaurants in advance is really easy, you can only do it when it gets to 60 days of less before your arrival date. You just ring, the number escapes me just now but you'll find it on the official DLP site or Trip Advisor.

Have a lovely time xx

I think if you have an autistic child you can go to city hall so that you don't have to queue? I'm not 100 percent sure on that but if you look at some of the specific Disneyland Paris forums online someone there should be able to help.

Definitely go staright to town hall and see if you cn get a green assistance card. You may need doctors letters if you dont have a blue badge. Town hall can do your dinner resevrations too.

Have fun, we are going in Decemebr to see the Christmas stuff too - my stepson has Downs, and we've always found Disney to be most helpful.
