Anyone done long haul with Globespan?

We're going back to visit my family next summer, and Globespan via Toronto is the cheapest flight I can see to get us across the pond (even adding in transport from Toronto to Ohio on top of their fare). But am wondering how it is with kids we usually fly Virgin with individual tvs. Last time plugged DD in and she lasted the whole flight so could deal with screaming DS !

BA now have individual TVs on all the transcontinental flights, I think. Worth it!

Alternatively, you might be able to rent a DVD player for the kids? Or let them watch movies on a laptop?

no sorry but going with them to Florida in November with dd 13 months. have heard that they are pretty good with children I'll let you know.

They certainly weren't bad, but it was my first experience flying at all with ds, he was 13 weeks. We could take buggy to gate (ours is very bulky), no problems and we bought extra luggage allowance on internet (much cheaper than paying at the airport) they were very strict with 20kg wt allowance. I think they will let you take a travel cot over and above luggage allowance, dh read this on website - but I would check this before you fly. Hope you have fab holiday. xx

Giggly would be interested in how it goes for you.

We are lucky, as we won't have to bring any equipment -- of course now that I think of it DS should be in a bed by then. DD already is. my parents have car seats etc, so allowance shouldn't be too bad.

Katyjo how was the food? As we won't be able to take any liquids, is the water expensive? (or maybe won't apply as to canada not the US)

we are visiting friends in Miami and have asked them to buy a car seat ahead for us, we will then bring this back home for granny's car, we thought this would be cheaper and less hassle to hire one, no fiddling about with instructions, my friends will love me for that. Also Globespan have allowed us 30kg, that should be my shoes covered then.

I am interested in this as we have just booked up with them to canada for next summer to visit family.
All we now have to do is sort out getting to Stansted airport!

Long haul with Globespan, back in one piece.
Flight attendants excellant with dd 16 months, however did not serve childrens meals first, we were in pre, economy which I would recommend for the extra room, business of course if I had a spre 3 grand, nice tip from attendants though, if you are short on space for dd to sleep, pull down meal trays and put a folded blanket on top, excellant bed for wee one.
