Bottle feeding a baby on an aeroplane

We're going to Lanzarote when DD2 will be 17wks. The flight is 4.5 hours. I'm starting to stress a bit now about warming her bottle on the flight (she we will not take it cold). When we took DD1 when she was a baby they wouldn't warm the bottle for us until the plane was in the air so she was crying during take off. Im hoping to avoid this this time. Wondering if they would let me warm it up in a cafe once we have gone through security so its already warm when we board?
Also any other travel tips for flying with a baby?
TIA ??

We took an empty Tommee Tippee flask and filled it up once through security. No problems. Edinburgh to Venice and back.

Great, we have one of those. We're the OK about you taking boiling water on the plane?

Agreed, I have a thermos where the premade mini bottle fits in and starbucks in stansted filled it up for me after security.

No one knew. How could they? The flask was in a bag and the bag wasn't checked again as we had been through security.

No one said anything at any point. We even asked for a refill of hot water before we landed Grin

Brilliant, Thanks both. Did you buy your formula at the airport or will they let you take unopened cartons through security?

You can get self heating bottles. Yoomi I think... They do stop working as self heating after a while but could be really worth while for the journey?

Wow how have I never heard of these!! Bit worried she won't take them though as the teat is a bit different to the tommee tippee that she's used to.

Star I fly....I have never or never heard anyone refuse to warm a babies bottle. We warm them by just placing them in a jug of hot water similarly to how you would at home.

When a pax....I would take milk in cartons and fill bottle on aircraft and then ask to warm prior to departure.

Have a great holiday

Try and pre board early so you can get settled into seats and ask crew to help with bottle etc.

Yup. We bought cartons once through security.
