Question about booking ahead, elderly parents and insurance.

Can anyone help?
After my other posts about a cruise, we are thinking of trying one.
I appreciate now that you sometimes have to book well in advance if you want a good cabin etc.
We won't be spending a fortune- maybe about £1K each.
But both my parents are elderly- late 80s. I've read insurance details for our previous holiday and the small print is very restricting. Neither parent has been in hospital as an in-patient, but they both take statins and aspirin following mild strokes. Does anyone know if this would be classed as on-going treatment/ conditions- if either was to fall ill at the time of the cruise? (I know I can ask the insurers but thought I'd try here first.)

Have a look at specific cruise insurance. They are sometimes less strict about health problems especially if no stays in hospital in the last 12 months.
