DH and I planning 4 nts in Marrakech for our 5th anniversary. Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere nice but inexpensive to stay please? Around £75-100 per night.
Also recommendations for things to do, see and eat most great fully received.

I love Marrakech - DH and I honeymooned there.

A lovely riad run by a woman I know is Dar Jaguar - some of the suites are in your budget.

As for things to do I could spend 4 days in the souks. I love them, particularly the spice souk! The Jardins Majorelle are worth a visit as is the museum. There are also some ruins (can't remember the name of them) south of the main square which are good for a wander.

I think you need to eat in the square in the evening at least once - it's such and experience and the food is really good quality. I can't really remember the other restaurant options (and much may have changed in the intervening years) but The Telegraph has this article, and they're normally quite good with their recommendations.

Have a lovely time!

I do, I do! Hang on...

Raid Zayane. Beautiful and cheap.

Also - book yourselves in for a half day Moroccan hammam at Les Bains de Marrakech. You get a traditional hammam, long massage and rose petal bath, ridiculously romantic and cheap as chips by our standards. We always reminisce about our Marrakech trip!

Oh ps we booked it as a package; got the flights, hotel and transfers through Easyjet Holidays. They were great.

Ouzoud Falls for a day out. My DD1 went with her friend and family in August so I wasn't personally there iyswim. It sounded a great trip out but they didn't swim in the pools as it was too crowded the day they went. Because of the heavy footfall the narrow paths were wet and slippery.

My advice would be go in trainers, don't try to climb in flip flops you'll regret it and not be able to get to the top.
