new Ryanair infant allowances -- car seat & buggy

Hello
Unfortunately we have chosen to fly Ryanair.
Luckily they do have new rules which means we can bring our car seat and buggy for free (as well as a small cabin bag for baby).
Anyone travelled Ryanair with these things before?

  1. Do you need to wrap/bag/protect either car seat or buggy?

The buggy is dropped off at the gate or when boarding the plane, but when does the car seat leave us (at check in!?)

Thanks in advance!

Not sure with Ryan air but normally when you check in with other airlines you then have to take the car seat to the oversized luggage bit where carseats and golf clubs etc go. I would imagine it would be the same as these are the airports and not individual to each airline.
Then you just go through security as normal.
Car seat comes off at end of luggage with buggies etc that have been put in hold.
That is good that they are now allowing a baby cabin baggage allowance as I always found that a pain when travelling having to use up my own hand baggage allowance for nappies and spare clothes!

We normally just put our car seats in a bin liner or a bag and mark flight details on the bin liner.
