My SIL has asked for some help with things to do in London.
We're going for her hen do next month. We're travelling down saturday morning, arriving around 1/2pm. We're staying at the Grange Holburn Hotel.
Saturday evening we're seeing Guys and Dolls and have to be there at 7:30pm.
On Sunday SIL has booked a pottery class for after lunch but thats it.
She wants to do something else but is stuck for ideas. Obviously a bit of shopping and sightseing will have to take place but there must be somthing we can actually do.

Can anyone help out with some ideas?

Go on the London Eye,
Spitalfields Market on Sunday morning?
Make you way down the river on the Thame Clipper here seeing the sights - Waterloo pier for London Eye, Bankside for Tate Modern / millenium bridge etc.
And this is a lot of fun - on the south bank it is a series of 'rooms' made from fountains - you dash in and out when the fountains stop. Other South Bank attractions are Borough market on SAturday, the Clink Museum, have a drink in Vinopolis - even dinner of Saturday night, as I see you were looking for a restaurant - it's FAB there!

Thanks Blu!
The room fountains look great. Have to go there now!

Book a table for a post -theatre dinner?
Go out for breakfast/brunch if you're not having it in the hotel?
Eating & shopping will probably fill up the time nicely!

We're still deciding on the restaurants atm.
Theres too many!

Borough market is a farmers market, but it has fantastic stalls to grab an interesting cheap lunch, and wonderful cake and biscuit shops in the side streets. then you can walk all the way along the river front, stopping in the pub, seeing the sights, (or go on the boat) to the S bank - not worth going JUST for the fountain, but if you combined it with the Eye it would be good - or check it out before the theatre as it's practically outside!

Covent Garden is good for shopping - and near your hotel. Has street entertainers, too. But London shopping is much like any other city shopping these days, I think.

I would've thought Portobello would be better for vintage stuff, you can get some beautiful clothes at Spitalfields though!

If you like Indian I can recommend this www.veeraswamy.com for a good meal. I actually had my hen do there (albiet it in 1998) on a Sunday lunchtime.
