Best way to do Disneyland Paris at Christmas

Please could you lovely people tell me, what's the best way to 'do' Disneyland Paris before Christmas? Looking at going second week in December, 2 adults and 1 2.10 year old.
Would you stay in Disneyland, or stay elsewhere? We'd like to do 2/3 days in Disney and then maybe the Christmas markets around Paris.
Would you fly/drive/Eurostar?
Open to all suggestions, I know it'll be freezing!
Thankyou!

I am not sure if we are doing it right but I have booked 4 nights in Decemeber staying at Davy Crocketts we will be getting the ferry and driving.

There is a direct train from Park to Paris central so we are going to do 3 days in park and one day in the middle going to Paris. Then on the last day we will leave early and do a few hours somewhere else on the way back to the ferry.

We booked it direct with Disney ax stvthe time we got 4 nights for price of 2.

Def don't pay the first price you find shop around over the next month or so as there have been some good deals around.

You do need to book a month or two in advance though esp as you need to book your restaurants a month in advance if you want decent food and table service or the wild west show etc.

If you want to stay in a Disney hotel (others are available) then you can't usually beat booking with them direct by website or phone. don't book travel through Disney though as it is very expensive.

Eurostar tickets for December came out a couple of weeks ago so the cheapest seats will have probably already gone, so book ASAP if you want to travel this way. your 2 year old will travel free as long as they sit on your lap.

I prefer to get ferry/Eurotunnel and drive which is quite straightforward, mostly motorway (toll roads) and takes about 2.5 hours. It also means you can stop off where and when you want to, and don't lose out on park time on your first/last days.

I went in December last year and it wasn't too cold, just wrap up warm and have plenty of mulled wine hot chocolate stops. There are plenty of indoor attractions and lots of rides are undercover anyway
