we got a 3 day pass for the boat that goes round the seine and you jump off/on and can use it to go to most of the tourist sites (and take a rest when you are tierd). if they still do the car stunt show at disney that was really good

Ooh, lucky you!

I think the best way to see Paris and all the sights is just to wander round it on foot.

It's quite possible to see all the main sights this way. Then head over to the rue de rivoli and hit chocolate at Angelina's, with a bit of window shopping after.

Notre Dame is my favourite sight, amazing.

Personally, I think the city itself is far better, and offers far more to do and see to bother with Disneyland, but that's just my view Smile

Have a great time.

Le Marauder is very nice, Place des Vosges is a great square to sit down and have a coffee.

Musée d'Orsay (impressionists etc) is much more manageable than the Louvre, and has some great art.

Not marauder, Marais...

My favourite cheap Disneyland trip, which I plan to employ next summer, is to let one adult take the kids, rather than doing it as a family outing, thus saving an adult entry and giving me a whole lovely day to myself in Paris

eiffel will be rammed

go here instead montparnasse tower

clary · 13/08/2014 16:52

Are you going with DC? If so how old?

If not can I recommend Sainte Chappelle it is so so lovely. Also I adore the Musee D'Orsay, all the lovely Monet Impressionism, kids would like it too over a certain age.

Agree Montparnasse Tower is better for a view than Eiffel. Also you get to see Eiffel Tower from it!

If you are a ghoul like me then Pere Lachaise cemetery is interesting - Edith Piaf, Sartre, Oscar Wilde - oh, and Jim Morrison.

I love the Marais as well. Montmartre area is nice with the square where the artists do cartoons (gone blank on name of it). The Louvre is amazing but also enormous. Walking round the streets with a guidebook is lovely, all the glorious silvery buildings :) Envy

I'm going with my DH and my 24/25 week bump! :)

Slightly concerned by my lack of ability to walk any distance without getting tired and achey

Some great advice. Going to start writing out my Official List tomorrow!

A minimum 'must do' is a stroll down the champs elysees

If you get off the metro at Charles de Gaulle-Etoile - the first view of the arc d'triumph at the top of the champs elysees is quite something.
