Leamington Spa - a place to meet

A good friend of mine recently moved from Oxfordshire to Kidderminster and we would still like to meet up maybe once a month so we thought about meeting half way in Leamington Spa, Banbury or Warwick. As we are both unfamiliar with this area I was wondering whether any of you know of somewhere child friendly that we could meet. We both have two children aged 3 and 9 months. Any advice would be really welcome.

Thanks

hi, i used to live in leamington. There are mainly pubs and cafes in the centre which during the day you can bring children into, theres no 'fun pubs' in the centre.
There is a lovely park (jeffson gardens i think) with a cafe where you could go. Its at the bottom of the parade (name of road running through centre of town!)
hope this helps.

Many thanks. Have seen a Funky Monkeys play centre in Warwick which might be an idea.

Hatton Farm World is also a great day out - just outside Warwick
You have to pay for the farm bit - or you could meet in teh shopping/cafe bit for free
They have a website

St Nicholas park in Warwick is really nice.

yes funky monkeys is very tolerable even good if a little exhausting, but quite light and airy with nice play centre and snacks

bistrot pierre has just opened which is a great value french inspired restaurant not really kiddie directed but they do small portions or even plain portions of grown up food for children instead of a kids menu

if it's a nice day packwoood house has a nice garden which children like you can chase round the magnificent yew trees

newbold comyn swimming pool has a small splash pool

Many thanks for all your suggestions. It seems there is no shortage of things to do in and around Warwick.
