Has anyone done disneyland paris in February?

We are going next year. I have seen a few deals at the shops for outdoor jackets. You know the kind that are waterproof and have a removable inner fleece lining? Would you buy something like that for DLP? Reason I ask is that I have a Barbour waxed jacket already and I already have thermals so thinking thermals, t shirt, jumper and Barbour. I also have oversized scarves, ski gloves etc. I'd really rather not spent on another jacket if I don't have to.

Yes we went February half term. Didn't buy any special clothing, did what you are suggesting, multiple layers. It was cold and wet. We had a great time!

Hi,

I went February 2011 and it was FREEZING! I had to buy gloves in the train station shop for us all so I would recommend you really wrap up warm so you can enjoy it properly. I booked it about 5 days before we went so wasn't really prepared but remember it was reasonably mild here so I wasn't expecting it to be so much colder there. Once we were wrapped up though we so much fun , especially the car stunt show with all the pyrotechnics etc. My daughter enjoyed it as much as my son. You'll have a great time!

Also we stayed disneyland hotel, right next to entrance, so could pop back for a warm up any time

Hats and brollies as well as the scarves and gloves, I had thermal lined boots for the kids, willies not warm enough

My parents took my children in February this year. They had a fantastic time but it was very very wet and cold. I'd packed hats, gloves, scarves, waterproof boots etc. They stayed in a hotel in the resort, so the pool and magic hours proved invaluable. My parents just used their normal heavy anoraks and hats and gloves.

Dh and I went (pre-kids) in early February many years ago. There were no queues which was ace but it was cold and rainy, however as there were no queues we didn't have to hang around outside too much so it all balanced out. Grin

We went early March a couple of years ago, it was warm enough for just a cardigan/zip up hoodie. I wouldn't worry about special clothing, take different types of layers just incase

Thanks. Will take what I have. If it is super cold in the run up I can always buy ,something but hopefully ok with what I already own and I can invest is so e new boots instead!

Yes. I agree with everyone who said it is very, very cold.
Huge queues for everything, which made it uncomfortable for little ones as it was so cold.
In the end we found it was better to go early in the morning, then go back to our accommodation in the middle of the day - encourage Dc to have a sleep, then go back in the evening when it was a lot less crowded.

3littlefrogs · 04/08/2014 18:42

If you aren't going half term week it won't be crowded, but if you are, everyone else will be there too.

Crutchlow35 · 04/08/2014 18:49

We go on 16 February for 4 nights.
