Disneyland Paris as a family of six, hotels?

Were thinking of going to DLP end of March 2015.

The DCs will be 10, 9, 6 and 4.

Do any of the Disney hotels have family rooms that sleep 6? So far it's looking like we will have to book 2 rooms?

So am I right in assuming on the website you book the hotel and the tickets then flights are separate? The tickets include fast passes too?

Explorers hotel- not one if the actual Dismey hotels but with a free shuttle bus has rooms for up to six.

Not a Disney hotel as such but as close as some of the Disney hotels has regular shuttle buses, themed hotel with pool etc and cheaper than Disney hotels is the Thomas Cook Explorers. Has rooms which are one room with bunk bed off another room with two doubles - you book it as one room. We've been there 3 times. Not the height of luxury but absolutely fine.

But you may be wedded to idea of Disney hotel of course.

We booked 2 rooms at the Newport bay last year.
Worked out brilliantly.

Adagio at val d Europe. One stop on the train or use the free shuttle bus. Aparthotel that will sleep 6

Don't book flights or Eurostar with Disney, it can cost you over twice the price of doing it yourself (we were quoted £800 for the Eurostar by Disney, but paid £372 by phoning Eurostar on the day the tickets for our travel dates were released).

I don't think the park tickets include FastPass. They didn't when we were there in February this year (staying at the Sequoia Lodge). To use FastPass you scan your park ticket on the machine at your chosen ride and it prints out a ticket with your allotted time on. And having a FastPass does not mean that you will just walk onto a ride, it just means that you join the FastPass queue rather than the main one. We had a FastPass for the Tower of Terror, but still had to queue for 30 mins. Also, FastPasses are not available all day long, our time for the Tower of Terror was 13:45, and whilst we were waiting people kept coming up to the entrance complaining that the FastPass machine was not working. It was not broken, it had just been switched off because all the FastPasses for the day had been given out.

If you were able to drive you could go to the Davey Crockett ranch

ineedaholidaynow · 01/08/2014 21:51

If you were driving Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch has chalets with separate bedrooms which would suit a family of 6. There is no shuttle bus so would need a car, but it is only one exit off the main road to Disney.

We are going in a few weeks and have booked a family room in the Newport Bay for 7 of us - DH and I and the DC 12, 10, 7, 5 and 1.

We had interconnecting rooms at The Sequoia Lodge last time and they were great.

I've never stayed here but I've often seen special offers and been tempted to book it as it looks great. It can take 6 and also has some sort of kitchen facilities (if you get sick of Disney food as much as I do):

Disneys Davy Crockett as mentioned above. lovely and spacious and fab pool onsite too. You need to drive though. Its only a few minutes from the parks and you get free parking.

sweetkitty · 11/08/2014 00:25

Forgot I had posted this thanks for the replies.

We won't be driving as we will be flying as in Scotland, so will book flights separately.

So if we book into a Disney hotel we get park tickets but not fast pass?

We had 2 adjoining rooms at Sequoia Lodge (a few yrs ago when DCs were little) great trip. You are not far to walk to everything, it has a nice laid back atmosphere. We got to go in an hour early to the main bit and had brekkie at Pinocchios restaurant which I think we booked (sorry forget all the proper names of things now). We booked the wild west show and a character dinner in advance both worth it. Take dressing up clothes with you - kids wore them lots. Had fun collecting the autographs of characters in the special autograph books.

You get park tickets with Disney hotels plus extra magic hours which means getting into the park a couple of hours earlier, including a breakfast in the park if you wish which is handy for that although in March this may be not as much as an issue.
Partner hotels booked on the Disneyland Paris website still have tickets included just not the early hours. Partner hotels are ones such as the Explorers hotel or the Dream Castle hotel. They all have shuttle buses too.
The only way you get fast passes included are if you book a suite or vip room.
