We went to Phuket last year, and we didn't need any jabs.

That's where we are going. Great that's a relief. Thanks.

We're going next week and the only ones they need are the routine childhood immunisations.

Pastperfect · 25/07/2014 16:58

None Smile

Hmm - we all have Hep A, and typhoid as well as the routine childhood ones including tetanus.
What does the travel nurse at your GP say?

Pastperfect · 25/07/2014 22:57

To clarify when I say none, I mean in addition to UK standard vaccinations.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 26/07/2014 04:49

I got hep A for DD as it is just two jabs for life. I think I might look into tetanus too since she is a bit older.

I had a couple of jabs before thailand last year. They weren't compulsory but thought I better. Think it was hep a and thyphoid.

It really depends where you're going, how long for, what you'll be doing & the accommodation you're in.
Definitely talk to your Practice Nurse.

not sure if there are malarial areas in Thailand, most of the main tourist spots aren't.

dengue everywhere so 24/7 DEET for all. Otherwise if the standard jabs are still in date, that's all you need. (Typhoid has a 10 year life I think)
