What foods can I pack for flying, to self cater at eurocamp in France?

We're flying to France with 2 children ages 11 & 3 and staying self catering at a eurocamp. I'm trying to keep costs down so plan to take some food with me,.. I only have one case booked to check in and we'll have 2 small hand luggage cases and a carry bag... I've thought about packet pastas and cupasoups, cereals... Can people give me some tips as to what else I can pack and take with us? I'll buy things like milk, bread & eggs over there as we arrive in the afternoon so shop should be open. Thanks all x

As everyone else has said; buy when you're there! French supermarkets are great.

We take tea bags and coffee bags, that's it!

Do they not sell food in France then? Wink

French supermarkets import plenty of fruit & veg.

They import less in summer of course, but they have no moral objection to it!

Get yourself to a market in one of the local towns and get loads of lovely salad veg, charcuterie, cheese and bread, not hugely expensive.

Yy to teabags

Other than that, we take frozen pasta sauce so that our first night dinner is covered, but we drive. We buy the rest, a little more expensive than the UK, but we love the change, and love taking our kids shopping to help choose meals (cooking from scratch flys out the window).

I am a bit of a saddo for going to foreign supermarkets, but them i am not English, so I still love grocery shopping every week here in the uk!

Punch the ones where we are don't import!

The area is called Charente and in Cognac nearby we've seen stalls with Free Charente stalls eg the area being separate and not tied to rest of France.

Take some loo roll for eurocamp if you have a chalet/shed. I was OUTRAGED that they didn't supply any. The shop was shut, it was late. Dh had to go on a midnight mission to nick some from the camper toilet block...
