Thinking about booking one of these for next summer as they look lovely! Has anyone stayed in one? Are they worth the extra money?

Lush :-) we've just come back from one! No comparison as we haven't stayed in a 'normal' one x

Thanks for that. Just can't decides what to do. We could get a mobile home for the same price (or less) than a safari tent but it seems more of adventure to have the tent. I'm so rubbish at making desisions!

Starting again (!), we stayed in one 3 years ago at Wimbleball in Somerset which was through Eurocamp - not sure they are doing UK destinations now but they were then. I'm not a huge camping fan but these looked a definite improvement. The good points are separate sleeping areas, stove, fridge, beds and electricity. There is also a dining table, deckchairs and heater. We took a laptop and some box sets we'd never got round too. The downside? Well its still camping. Stumbling through a muddy field in the middle of the night in the rain isn't my idea of a good time. If its wet, there isn't really anyway of getting things dry. At night despite the best effort of the heater, it was freezing cold. Having said all this - everyone in my entire family (bar me) from husband , teenage daughter downwards loved it. In a warm country without the constant rain and wind we had, its probably a lot nicer!
