Taking formula for a toddler?

DS is 2.2 and has SMA toddler formula before bed, but cows milk in the morning.

We've bought the ready made cartons to take on holiday with us, but can we take them on the plane?

I did read that airport security allows you to take formula at their discretion, but wasnt sure if they'd say no because he's not a baby?

We have ordered some cow and gate toddler milk to pick up once we're through security as the boots doesn't sell SMA age 1-3, but I'd rather stick to his normal milk of possible.

The flight is 12 hours and is a night flight, so ideally we need two - one before "bed" and one for the morning, so thought we'd try and take 3, then if we have to taste one, we still have the two we need.

Any tips please!

if you take it from home they may ask you to taste it if you take it in the cabin. If you are buying it after security then thats fine and shouldnt be a problem and you wont need to taste them. You could put them in the hold without issues though.

That's good that they'll be ok in the hold, thanks.

I'm worried that security will refuse to let us take it through as he's not a baby IYSWIM. He's also a very tall 2.2 year old and has really good speech, so it makes him look much older than he is!
