lots of endorsements on MN for it already.
It's only a 20 minute drive away & DC don't really rate it!
It's refreshingly health & safety thrown out the window. A tree house themed adventure park. Important source of local youth employment so I should endorse it, too (DS hoping to get a job there).

4yo a bit young for it, but depends on height... the ticket prices go by height.

Fantastic body art/face painting there.

My dc love it!
They have had a new tree walk been built which should now be open. There is a small area for the 4yr old and the older dc will like it.
We live about an hour from it but well worth the drive in our opinion. Ds1 is now 15 and still loves to go to "help" ds2 7 around the site ;)
Take a picnic though as food can be expensive for the sandwiches etc they sell.
On a lovely day like today it is well worth going.

When I say small area for the 4yr old I mean smaller in height compared to the taller tree walks..

I love it! Went aged 27 and had a great time Wink

The kids I was with at the time (guide trip) aged 10-14 also had a great time. Looked like loads of things for younger kids too.

DS1 went on a school trip in Y1 and loved it.

It's bloody fantastic.

The Times rated it as one of the 10 best places to visit in the UK with kids.

It's healthy outdoorsy fun and although the treehouses look terrifyingly huge, its all been risk assessed and is perfectly safe (ish!).

There are also areas to build dens and a little theatre for the younger ones to watch a show when they are exhausted.

The only problems we have had there involved wasps but you should be ok at this time of year.

It's fantastic. I've been to lots of places with my DD and this is by far the best.

I'll give it another thumbs up. Try getting the book beforehand to read. The place is the setting of the delightful rhyming book, come to life.

We've been twice, most recently when ds2 was 2.5, he had a great time so I'm sure your 4 year old will love it. It is incredibly expensive though, both for entry tickets, and if you buy lunch there. If possible, take a picnic. There's a short boat ride you can take. There are normally large queues to get the boat as soon as you arrive, but you can walk instead. If you then get the boat back, you don't have to wait as long.
