Was it any good - which kids club were your children in?

TIA

I have and it was brilliant. Can't remember the name of the club ds was in, but it was the youngest one, as he was only 2. It was also late season (second half of September), so he was the only one there, so he effectively had a nanny, who was great. (There was another wee girl, but she was very clingy and her mother got upset at her crying and stopped taking her after one attempt - I think the mother had the issues not the wee girl).

We went to Porto Heli, which is very much focussed ont he dnghy sailing, with a wee bit of mountain biking.

We would go again when ds is old enough to go in to the proper "learn to sail" clubs.

DD is trying to decide between the Hot Shots (learn to sail) & Surf Busters )free & general)

I think she wants the Hot shots but she isn't sure

Is the food OK?

I don't know your dd, but I owuld have thought she was best booking in to HOt Shots, and then if she wasn't enjoying the sailing (which I can almost guarantee that she will), then she could change to the Surf Busters. But if she does it the other way around, then she would be behind the others.

The food was fine, although we suffered a wee bit form "end-of-season-itis", with things running out (like the honey for yoghurt and honey at breakfast). It was basically greek, with a wee bit of intrnational food for those non-cosmoplitan Brits. The hotel didn't have as many local tavernas as it used to (I'd been there years ago, initally as Falcon Sailing and then as Sovereign), so for lunches and the couple of nights out, there wasn't much choice (but with ds we didn't really have the scope at lunchtime anyway). That could just have been end of season too.

The hotel blocks were also quite spread out in the grounds, so you need to be a very relaxed parent if you are going to leave the child(ren) in the room and go to the hotel/pool bar........

Sounds Ok

DD is 9 and apparently we can hire a baby listener......so we might - she's quite good at staying in her room reading as long as we promised 1 late night

(whispers, given similar Mumsnet debates)..... ds was still in his travel cot and sleeping bag and a very good sleeper (once he was asleep that was it until 6.45 a.m.) who had never climbed out of his cot (took him another 6 months to do so!)..........................................

..... and we did go up and check every so often.

We will leave her a phone & she can call if there is a problem

we went to Anastasia last year. Very, very good. Only slight issues were that we got a bit bored with the food by the end, and that the baby listeners didn't really work from our room. (I think it was just a bit far). We went out to Hanioti a couple of nights - nice for a change, and went scuba diving. The young, footloose and fancy-free staff can throw your work and family responsibilities into sharp focus a bit at first, but after a few days you've relaxed enough to feel like you are one of them!

Thanks that's interesting - we can go out (if there is anywhere close enough) if we get bored I guess - Thank for the warning
