All inclusive to Majorca/Ibiza

What are your recommendations for an all inclusive holiday to Majorca or maybe Ibiza? We don't want a party resort, kids will be 7 and 10 so plenty of activities and entertainment for that age range, lively but not overcrowded, evening entertainment, clubs, ideally very shot airport/resort transfer time, decent food, interesting area to visit outside resort if poss. I'd love to hear of places you've been to. Thanks.

Maybe the Holiday village Ibiza (a thompson/first choice hotel). It has kids clubs, entertainmnet, fooball academy and an on site water park - might tick all your boxes.

Best way to go to Ibiza if you don't want to party is to hire a villa.

San Antonio bay would be best. All the idiots stay in the town.
I got an all inclusive deal for 4 adults for just over £1k and I feared the worst but it was surprisingly good.

A villa won't work for us because I don't want to cook and clean and we absolutely want organised day time activities for the kids and family entertainment in the evenings for the whole family over a martini Grin.

hi we stayed at the AI hotel El Greco in Portinatx, Ibiza.
It has it's own small waterpark, games room, swimming pool, kids entertainment/nightly entertainment and is right on the lovely beach.
It's a pretty, family resort, small and quiet with a few bars/shop.

Mallorca go to puerto pollensa. It's a port town. Massive clean beach. Marina. Shops/calm nightlife. Shallow water for ages.

We stayed here "playa mar" via Thomson. For families it's perfect.

If you def want a hotel maybe look at the aguas de Ibiza

We enjoyed Iberostar Cala Barca in Majorca.

Maybe look at Santa Eulalia in Ibiza? We have stayed there a few times. We don't do much on holiday but my parents in law have used the buses to get around Ibiza quite a bit.

I was about to post and say avoid the Playa Mar in Puerto Pollensa!!! It was a British only hotel and sun beds were jam packed next to each other with loud disco music being pumped out over pool area all day long! The apartments were tiny with shocking 'kitchens' which allowed 1 person in sideways at a time! Food in pool car was ok but expensive - didn't fancy AI as we tried the buffet twice and it was the sane food both times and boring. We did gave a good holiday - stuff fir the kids to do but you paid extra for the best ones! Pp was ok, but I found it very expensive compared to other places and the beach is man made. Pretty views though along 20 min pine walk into town.
Best child friend place we've stayed in in Majorca was Club Martha in Cal D'Or - fab kids clubs and older activities suitable for your 10yo like rifle shooting and total wipeout. Pools were fab and space around loungers with lovely big spacious apartments. Entertainment was far better than Playa Mar and I wouldn't bother with AI as all the restaurants in the wee resort (Cala Egos) are 2-3 mins walk away and there are some really nice ones! Beach isn't a big long sandy one, just a wee sandy cove but prices there were half those (or even less!) in Puerto Pollensa! You can walk into Cala D'Or through the marina in about 20 mins.

Please excuse typos!

Just back from Iberostar Pinos Park, Font de Sa Cala, NE Majorca - highly recommended, great food, beautiful location, lots to explore in surrounding area and fantastic facilities for kids. But transfer perhaps longer than you are looking for and resort very beautiful but quietish?

AnyFucker · 22/04/2014 23:31

All resorts in Ibiza are a short transfer (max 30-40 mins). I liked the Club Portinatx and have been several times. It's not luxury grade, but it has some really nice touches. It's own private beach with an all inc beach bar (unusual), free watersports, good food. The resort is lovely with two major family friendly gorgeous beaches within a few mins walking distance. Lots of other places to visit within a short drive/bus journey.
