Anyone know? Suppose I should ask a chemist?

Yes it is fine. We normally take sachets in hand luggage but used to take bottles fo medicine in the case, cushioned by clothes.

we do the same. Sachets in hand luggage, bottle in main luggage. It's always made it on holiday and back again intact.

I was wondering about suitcase in case they wont allow in hand luggage. Got a feeling the compartment for suitcases gets very very cold. Not sure if they sell calpol or uk equivalents abroad and we are going to two very different countries. Thinking if I take precautions wont need them.

Sachets rather than a bottle I think. More expensive but less likely to end up as a sticky mess

We used to buy medicines in bulk in UK to take back to Switzerland and never had a problem with them or any other foodstuffs (syrup, icing, chocolate etc)spoiling in the hold luggage, it really doesn't freeze and the clothes insulate them anyway. Where are you going ? You can get paracetamol syrup and ibruprofen type drops abroad but in Europe suppositories are more normal and easier to obtain.

Put them in plastic bags. I speak from experience.

Lisz first stop Portugal then back to uk for a few days for dreaded inlaws then to Cyprus.

Thanks for tip re plastic bags.

Echoing the plastic bag tip! And they travel well. I always stock up on medicines if I'm in the UK and have never had any problems.
