I'm new to the forum but thought I would add a note to let you know that I live in Devon and if anyone wants any information about days out etc, please let me know and I will try and answer your queries.

jobylake, thanks that is really useful, we are going to Brixham soon, incase of a rainy day where would you go to the cinema from there?

we had a fab holiday in Devon last month - we stayed near Combe Martin and visited Croyde, Woolacombe and places nearby - lovely

hi,

we are going on holiday to devon and staying in dawlish warren, is it nice there? whats around to see and do please?

thank you

Bluesky - as far as I'm aware there are no cinemas in Brixham. The nearest one would probably be in either Paignton (Apollo 9 screen cinema on the Esplanade) or Torquay (Central Cinema on Abbey Road). Hope this helps.

Jackieglyn - Dawlist Warren is very nice and the beaches clean. It's on the Exe Estuary and full of birds and wildlife. Exmouth can be seen on a good clear day.

As for things to do - it depends on the weather. If you like walking I can recommend Dartmor - specifically Hound Tor (not very taxing even for children). And an ice cream at the end from the local mobile seller is most welcome when you come back down. The views from there are spectacular.

Another good day out is at Crealy. If you book your tickets on line with them you'll save £1 per person.

Woodlands is also another good adventure park off the A38.

I'm assuming you have children - but you haven't said what ages they are. I hope the above helps. Anything further let me know.

Thanks jobylake.

I agree with jobylake, Crealy is really good especially for the younger ones as although my eldest two love woodlands there wasn't so much for the toddlers IMHO. Crealy is also cheaper than woodlands if i remember rightly. Pennywell farm is also quite nice although i think it is a bit expensive.
