I want to book a weekend in Dublin for November. Is it better to book flights then look for accommadation or book both together?

I've never been there before so don't really know where to start, so any help would be great!

Don't do it!!!!
I went with three Mum's for a long weekend last year and we were all v.dissapointed. Full of stag and hen weekenders, shops the same as at home! Go to Paris or a spot of sunshine in Nice..just as cheap and much more relaxing/entertaining!

thanks for the tip!
I haven't decided for certain on dublin its just that our families are from Ireland so we fancied going for that reason.
I'll widen my search then.

I have family in Cork and it's still a much nicer place than Dublin!

I went with best pal for a girly weekend and TBJ I wish we had went to Paris, Ok there are great pubs and clubs but agree shops just the same and not much in the way of sightseeing. We ended up going to the cinema....twice. We spent 2 nights in a wee old mans pub far far away from the Temple Bar area.

Depends on who you are going with and what kind of weekend you want.

I last went for a weekend away with DH in 1996.
Its just for a quiet weekend away without the kids. I never go anywhere without them, it will be weird!
I'm looking at Paris now, but DH thinks I'm still looking at Dublin!

It happens once a decade when you're last child's around ten and you know he can look after his Dad....

Don't take kids to Paris, they don't do walking and they don't do sightseeing (not until they're romantically invoved anyway!)

Depends on ages of kids if they will enjoy Paris. Toddlers no , but over about 6 yes they should enjoy.

(without the kids)
