Cheap Days Out In Surrey Or Sw London????

Ok summer holidays, 4 kids soon to be 5 no money and no car (but can get lifts)

We are near Epsom but need some ideas for days out. We do the park, ducks, fishing in stream, woodland walks all the time but the kids need at least 1 good day out a week.

I have heard of a park between southfields and wimbledon that has paddling pool, park and sandpit but where is it???

Anyone know of cheap events in the holidays??

bushy park has loads of free activities every day (on the link just scroll down and it's amongst the other parks)

it's thumbs up thursdays every thursday in Kingston (look on the kingston council website to see the details)

pick your own fruit/veg at Garsons in Esher then you can get them to help you bake fruit pies and veg quiches

Motspur Park Joseph Hood park has a paddling pool which is good also right next to a riding school so you can walk to the end o fhte park and see the horses. If you walk past the horses you get to a 'the Hamptons' housing estate but there is a wetlands place in behind it which might be good for a look at and has a little wooden 'adventure' playground.

Alligator - my parents used to live on top of Joseph hood park! 2 doors to the right of themain entrance. dont remember a riding school, but then they moved a year ago so maybe its new.

wimbledon park is fab - we use it all the time. has a nice cafe too in case it rains or you need lunch. sand, ducks, pool, two play areas. you could also try the Diana playground (tho that is central London).

having said all that, it's a long way to come for a park - what about Reigate Priory or Wisley (a bit of a car ride from you).
