Can you take a Bugaboo Frog on a plane?

I know you can take the little umbrella-fold pushchairs, but has anyone taken a Bugaboo Frog? I don't want to turn up and be told to leave it behind!

I don't see a problem. I have taken my big three wheel jobby on a plane and also my bugaboo gecko. Some people on our flight back from paris had a chameleon the other week.

Have you got a transport bag? It might stay in better nick if you packed it into that first.

I took my Jane 360 3wheeler to Turkey with no probs.

THe size won't be an issue, but make sure that it is insured. I've always taken a cheap lightweight on holiday so it doesn't matter if it gets crushed...

I took a double on a plane but I did fold it up at the door and put it in the hold (if that's what you mean)

we decided against taking ours - because we don't want it trashed. I wanted to get the bag but as we have a maclaren umbrella fold it seemed like a waste of money. We have flown quite a lot and on some planes instead of keeping pushchairs in the cabin they go in the hold. I was worried about it without the transport bag - but I'm sure the airlines would be fine about it.we always need to keep ours till the last minute but you could always check it in with your cases. if your on your own things that need two hands to deal with aren't ideal

I hadn't thought about the risk of it getting trashed in the hold. We haven't got a transport bag, and I have just looked on the web and they cost £69.50!!! So cheaper to buy a second cheapo pushchair.

A friend has just offered to lend me their tiny umbrella-fold job - so problem sorted! Thanks for all the advice.

It is great to read your trips on travelling with a Bugaboo. We are travelling from Australia to France next week and I am very undecided whether to take the Bugaboo or buy a cheaper stroller that lies back. The bugaboo is clumsy for folding etc into the hire car but for pushing around I find it fantastic. I am concerned that if we get a cheaper stroller like one of the Mclarens with the smaller wheels it won't be much fun when pushing around the streets of Paris and France. We will be there for 4 weeks and hope to do a fair bit of walking each day. I would love any suggestions. My baby is 8 months old and wieghs just over 10kg.

Hi wadie, my McLaren did many miles in airports and all around Sydney, Tokyo, Dubai and New York when DS was little. It's so handy to be able to fold it up and use the shoulder strap as well
