After reading another thread on here about how to keep the cost of term time holidays down. Someone suggested the centre parks in Holland are massively discounted compared to the UK.
~The Uk it was £1700 for a week at Spring Bank. IN Holland it is £450. The ferry is £180. So it is worth doing.
My question is there is an option to upgrade to have half board in. Something like £350 for the week for two adults and two teenagers age 16 and age 14. I know it is really expensive, but with teenager food is never ending.
Has anyone any experience of the half board option. Is it good food? Is it worth doing?

I have booked for a midweek at De Kempervennen at Easter and booked the A La Carte option based on the TripAdvisor reviews that said the food was reasonable with a good choice in the Market Place and Italian not bad. We went to Eperheide years ago, and I recall it was fine. The in chalet breakfast was amazing though - a huge box of coffee and jam and cheese and ham, with fresh rolls and croissants delivered every morning. This was usually enough to cover lunch as well. I would go for the breakfast delivery then maybe 3 or 4 nights dining - and go out the rest of the time. Eating out is usually really reasonable in Holland. A visit to the nearest Fritkot or Pancake House would be recommended and asian food is really popular - a Rijstafel menu works out well if there are few of you.
