Bath city centre in June. Cheap & parking, asking the impossible?

Any ideas where to search? Taking the children seems to screw up searches as I keep coming up with age limits!

We always use the Park and Ride - impossible to park otherwise

YoungJoseph · 26/01/2014 13:33

There's a YHA in Bath. Don't know anymore than that but should be relatively cheap without age limits.

Starballbunny · 26/01/2014 13:35

Park and ride is your lot for all day.

DH lived in bath when we first met, we either left my car at his flat and walked into town or used the two hours you got at Sainsbury's.

Back then you were sunk without a residents permit (DH only had a bike). I'm guessing it's got worse not better.

Sorry I wasn't clear, wanting accommodation in the city centre with vaguely near by parking. Used to use the Travelodge but have had my money back for the last two years as it was so crap so we'd like somewhere else.

YHA is reasonable price wise. Can book a family room with own shower/loo. Rooms basic but use of residents kitchen, lounge etc. have to park on the road but easy to do so. Bus stops outside, regular bus to town, about 10 mins.

fridayfreedom · 26/01/2014 13:51

Just checked, £95 a night for ensuite family room, Friday night in June. Can take off £3 each adult, £1.50 each child if you're a member. £26 yearly membership for a family.

OodlesofOodles · 26/01/2014 13:58

I've found cheaper flats/hotels than that! I expected travel lodge prices at a YHA.

Holiday Inn Express has parking - they were quite amenable to us leaving the car after we'd checked out last August.

LIZS · 26/01/2014 14:00

wasn't a new premier inn due to open ?

Justguessing · 26/01/2014 14:04

I stayed in the Norfolk Building Apartments last September for around £200, which included an on-street parking permit for the duration of our stay. It had 1 bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, nothing fancy but well equipped and only a 10 min walk to the centre. All the details are on booking.com

OodlesofOodles · 26/01/2014 14:08

Yes there is! Excellent!
I don't want to be out of the centre or on hills etc as I've mobility problems and would struggle with the buses on my own

Thanks justguessing, good option too
