Centerparcs....how strict are they on ages??

The website reckons that we must have an extra bedroom now that our youngest has turned 2... We've always popped youngest in our room before now amd was planning to again
Obviously the cost goes up significantly if we do that.
Anyone know how strict they are if we were to book youngest as an under two to get the smaller apartment??

just turned two when you go then you should get away with it. its not like they can ask your dc and get a reliable answer is it. but if you have been before check back on previous info. if you booked last year and said dc was 18 months old and now a year later you are saying 22 months old you wont get away with it. assume your dc is ok in a cot still and not needing a bed. they are strict because they can be.

I think if it was your first visit u could get away with it but I bet they keep a record and would notice the different DOB. Although I agree I would want my 3 year old in with us to save some money !

Is it a big difference between 2 and 3 bedrooms. I know when I have gone it was a big jump from 3 to 4 bedrooms but not 2 to 3. I know different weeks vary and I have only gone during school holidays.

Shamoy · 10/01/2014 14:38

It's not a difference between 2 and 3 bedrooms, its a different between fitting in one large chalet (4 bedrooms) or needing two chalets 2 and 3 bedrooms! The cost jump is big!
The youngest will be 2 and a half when we want to go and we have been a couple of times before so they have dob I assume.
Probably not worth the risk, we can't afford to go at the higher price so will not be able to go at all. Seems silly!!

Oh I see. I think I'd risk it and book the 4 bedroom one. You'll be spending enough there for them to makes lots of money out of your family.

mummymeister · 10/01/2014 15:41

when you arrive they may do a head count and if they do they are well within their rights to refuse you access to the cabin and to refuse to refund you as well because you will have broken the terms and conditions of the rental agreement. if you want to risk it then go ahead but tbh it would be on my mind the whole time and I wouldn't be able to relax/switch off.

Creamycoolerwithcream · 10/01/2014 15:44

Do you need 2 cabins because you are 2 families or because you have 7 children?

mimbleandlittlemy · 10/01/2014 16:03

We had a problem some years ago as ds was having his 2nd birthday while we were there. I checked with the member of staff I was booking it with and she said it was fine but it actually turned out it wasn't. They were going to send us back as we were over the limit for the 3 bed villa but after much pleading let us go on as it was obvious that it was a genuine mix-up.

It's worth bearing in mind that if you want to put dc into any activities where you have to fill in the dob for insurance you will legally need to fill in the correct one.

Shamoy · 10/01/2014 16:13

We are two families. 3 kids each.
I am not going to risk it. Such a shame as a lot of just two year olds will still sleep in a cot but never mind

Sounds sensible. Hope you find somewhere else.

mummymeister · 10/01/2014 17:46

shamoy if you are 2 families with 3 kids each is that 10 of you all together in which case you are 2 people over the limit and not one? sorry might be making assumptions and one family be single parent. but if you are 10 then definitely not worth the risk at all. blimey mimble poor you. hadn't thought about the insurance and activity thing either.

Creamycoolerwithcream · 10/01/2014 17:49

I think an under 2

Shamoy · 10/01/2014 18:08

Yeah one kid is just under 2, the other will be over 2 hence the problem!
