France Eurocamp advice appreciated & concern over speedo dress code

I'm wanting to book our first Eurocamp holiday for late June. I'm thinking South is necessary for a bit of heat and really like the look of Le Vieux Port. It sounds ideal if you can avoid high season apart from the need for men to wear Speedos in the pools. Is this really true?! I can't believe it and am not at all sure I want to see partner let alone father-in-law in speedos. Does this same rule apply to hotels, lakes, the beach etc? I imagine it may also apply to all Eurocamps. Any clarification on this shocking policy would be appreciated to help me come to terms with it and broach it with the menfolk. Thanks

If you are googling for the 'underpants' type, the term you want is "jammers"

We went to Le Vieux Port last year. It was strictly enforced, sorry.
DH started doing triathlons in order to get speedo fit Grin

It is a lovely area, book with Eurocamp though, not Keycamp as they are crap. It is a busy site, the pool area is very busy. The beach is lovely but not great for swimming, very dangerous to swim unless right by lifeguards. We took our bikes (except mine but hired one very reasonably) , there are lovely cycle paths through forests and went to Vieux Boucou most days, lovely little town, nice restaurants, markets and lovely, safe lake beach. Took about 20 mins of steady, flat cycling. There is a fab restaurant in the forest too which was just a massive highlight. Though I was a bit wobbling riding back Blush

Speedos not a problem, not at all. Enjoy, we had a great holiday.
